Healthy Habits Baked Goods

All About Healthy Habits

Hey there! If you’re reading this, welcome :). My name is Caitlin, and Healthy Habits is a passion project that i’ve been working on for the past year or so. I’ve always loved baking and picked up this passion from baking with my mom as a teen. And there’s something so exciting about making a goody you’re really passionate about, and sharing it with your friends. Baking is most definitely my love language, and I’m so excited to see where this new project takes me!

A little bit of backstory as to why I started baking healthified recipes. Nearly two years ago, I started dealing with pretty severe menstrual health problems. My life was doctors appointments, pain killers and herbal remedies on repeat. As any millennial does, I started researching different ways to help find some relief, and the suggestions I found pointed to changing my diet. While these lifestyle changes didn’t fix my menstrual problems (hooray for modern medicine and doctors that didn’t get sick of me bugging them constantly), it did help me feel SO much healthier in my day to day life. And these changes have me so much more involved in my health and way more passionate about food and cooking/baking.

I also found it incredibly comforting baking and trying out new recipes during covid. I suddenly had way more free time on my hands with the lack of a commute, so I started baking even more than before. The abundance of baked goods I was churning out offered up a good excuse to meet my friends for more walks and provided the perfect opportunity to share and get feedback on my recipe experiments.

Now with a few of my own recipes in my apron, I’m working towards my goal of writing my own recipe book. With a couple different ideas brewing and a new partnership in the works with one of my best friends, I’m so excited to see how this all unfolds!
